Missed call revenue calculator
Every missed call is a potential job that went to a competitor. The number is usually bigger than people expect.
Use this calculator to estimate how much missed calls are costing your business each year. Enter your trade below to pre-fill industry benchmarks, or adjust the sliders yourself.

How this is calculated
The calculator uses four inputs: calls per day, percent of calls missed, average job value, and the booking rate, which is the share of missed calls that would have converted to paying work if someone had answered.
The booking rate is the most important input. We include it because not every missed call is a lost job. Some callers will try again, some were price-shopping and would not have booked regardless. We estimate that 30 to 50 percent of missed calls from home service businesses represent genuine lost jobs, depending on the trade.
The math: missed calls per day multiplied by 22 working days, multiplied by your booking rate, gives lost jobs per month. Multiply by average job value for the monthly revenue figure. We only count missed calls that would have become paying work.
